About Me

I’m a board-certified, Interventional Psychiatrist with expertise in assessment and treatment of OCD and Anxiety.

I started working with this population through the former UCSF OCD and Anxiety Specialty Clinic and later became the Director of OCD and Anxiety Services at one of the largest private interventional psychiatric practices in the country. Over the years, I have worked with several hundreds of patients with various presentations of OCD and related anxiety disorders.

As an Interventional Psychiatrist, this means I have additional training and experience using the growing knowledge about brain circuits and neural networks to optimize clinical care through innovative treatment options. These therapies, sometimes referred to as “neuromodulation”, include TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), ECT (electroconvulsive therapy), Ketamine, DBS (deep brain stimulation), and others. 

Additionally, I have completed training in Psychedelic Assisted-Therapy and Research and am eagerly following the literature and developments in this field in hopes of incorporating these medicines into the treatment repertoire.
